Best Beachfront Resorts in FL

Florida is the 2nd most visited state in the America behind California. The Sunshine State has lot to offer such as some of the best beaches in the world. This list is based on the top beachfront hotels/resorts that we've visited.

1. Max Beach Resort

Absolutely stunning resort located south of Daytona Beach in Daytona Beach Shores. The resort is new, opened in 2022, and offers spacious condo/apartment style 72 rooms. Split floor plans, full kitchen with bluetooth enabled appliances, full washroom, and city view or beach view balconies. The resort amenities are lovely as well with a heated pool side bar, rooftop terrace, adult lounge, and 24 hour gym with state of the art equipment. There are only 72 rooms at the resort which makes it way less crowded than other resorts in Daytona Beach. Lastly, since its located in Daytona Beach Shores once you step out to the beach you are caught in the busy tourist attraction section on the beach.

Room recommendation: Aqua Residence

2. Marco Ocean Beach Resort

For many years this was our favorite anniversary vacation location. Located in the quiet city of Marco Island, this resort is great for some much needed rest and relaxation. The resort is mid sized with about 93 rooms but the amenities are far from that of a mid sized resort. Large pool, beautiful garden, amazing beach view, on site concierge, free beach towels and chairs. The rooms are good size, spacious and the 2 bedroom comes with a full kitchen, which is hard to find at beach front lodging. The beach is literally steps away and you'll be sure to enjoy the white sand and clear water of Marco Beach.

Room recommendation: 2 bedroom suite

***Update***

This resort no longer operates as a resort, instead the rooms are condo's that can be rented from hosts.

3. Omni Amelia Island Resort

Since my wife's name is Amelia its only right we visit the Omni in Amelia Island, lol. Amazing resort with beach themed rooms and balconies that offer stunning views of their pools and the Atlantic Ocean. The resort offers golf, tennis, pickleball, and other sporting opportunities. We just wanted to enjoy the room and the view. The room accommodations are truly on point. I enjoyed the large soaking tub and shower for two with regular and rain shower heads. The size of this resort is massive, on top of the 3 golf course, 23 tennis courts, and 7 pickleball courts, there's also 9 restaurants, shopping boutiques, nature center, rental houses, and 3.5 miles of secluded beach. The resort is a total of 1,350 acres!

Room Recommendation: One bedroom end suite

4. Palm Island Resort

Ready for a private island experience in Florida? Palm Island Resort offers beachfront cottages, villas, and private homes on island only accessible by car ferry. Park in the island parking area and allow the bell team or golf cart rental to get you around the island. Enjoy scenic wooden overpass access to the beach only steps away. You literally feel disconnected as you enjoy quiet couple time or family bonding on the island. The accommodations are individually owns so each property has its own decor and personal touches. Enjoy a quiet beach secluded beach where you can spread out and take in the sun and waves peacefully.

5. Diplomat

The best way to describe the Diplomat Beach Resort in Hollywood, Florida is "Its a vibe!" From the moment you walk into the enormous lobby where there is music playing 24/7, bars are serving delicious drinks, there is an indoor garden, and large glass ceiling. Extremely impressive. The resort underwent massive renovations in 2017 and now this property not only has stunning views of the beach but a world class spa, 3 pools, small waterpark for kids, restaurants led by award winning chefs, and world renown mixologists. The Diplomat is a beautiful and amazingly located resort. Go check out the vibe!
